Advice regarding our dog

Our dog, Petey, is a very loving dog. He's great with the boys. The problem I have is his long hair. When I try to trim his hair in the rear area he snaps. It is long and tangled. He won't let me comb his hair there either. Any advice?

I'm not quite sure what to advise, other than to ask if you can get a second person to help you out when you need to brush that region.

You could also seek out one of our other users, Mrsjordanjr, who said in her intro post that she specialises in dog behaviour. She may have some other suggestions.
