Well Pompeii had his shots today - and kennel cough stuff up his nose :P He sprayed the vet with it LOL

He didn't even notice as he was too busy eating the vet's treats.

I was too busy thinking of the 'mole, mole, mole' scene in Austin Powers.

Yeah i did. The vet did suggest one possibility of putting aside x amount each month in a bank account instead. Not sure which we're going to do yet. Maybe get $15 a month insurance for surgical, and $30 a month in savings.

don't do it that way, it is more likely that there will be medical bills than surgical, medical on emergency can run to $1000-2000 in a single weekend - that is a lot of putting money aside. I can send you a pet plan brouchure, or check them out on line. Trust me you want to have adequate cover for all emergenies. I hate having to down grade my planned care to a suboptimal level just because people can't afford to treat appropriately. At $30/mth you would be covered for anything and everything upto $9K per year. Also you have kids. We used to do that savings things for people at my old job but then their kids would need something and the client would pull all the savings out. Better to get $30 worth of insurance and put the extra $15 away for your kids.
